1. Call for eMetrics Speakers
The Call for Speakers for the Washington D.C. eMetrics
Marketing Optimization Summit. conference is now open
until June 30, 2008.

Yes, it’s that time again. With the San Francisco and
London eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summits behind
us – and just before you all leave for summer vacation –
it’s time look forward to Washington D.C. in October.

Think you have a compelling story to tell about online
Acquisition, Conversion, Retention, Perception, or
marketing analysts Integration? Then you have until
the end of the month to head over to

2. NY Times to Keynote eMetrics in October
As I begin sorting through your submissions, I also
am setting the stage for keynotes for the eMetrics
Marketing Optimization Summit in Washington D.C.

An early confirmation is now in and it’s James Robinson
from the New York Times who wowed a smaller audience
in San Francisco and has a story you need to hear.

More details on more keynoters as they are confirmed.

3. The Wonderful World of Widgets
If you’re in the widget market, want to know about
the widget market or just want to beat the NY heat
next week… the WidgetWebExpo is coming to town.

Here’s what New Media Buzz has to say about it:

The drums are beating slow and low with the smoke
from yesterday’s iPhone announcement clearing away
to reveal WidgetWebExpo on the horizon.

Next Monday (June 16) and Tuesday (June 17) in NYC,
WidgetWebExpo has developed into the monster truck
rally for thought leaders on Widgets, portable
technology, and social media. You’ll pay for the
whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge.

If you go, please say hello to my good friends Ivan Pope
and Jodi McDermott!

June 16 & 17 2008 New York

4. Tweet of the Week
Correlation does not imply causation!

5. eMetrics Industry Insights Day Report
The eMetrics Industry Insights Report is almost ready.
How do I know? I just sent it off to the designer to
make it look like something your boss will be impressed
that you’re reading.

What is it? My review of the nine presentations and the
half day of conversations at the inaugural happening
in San Francisco. We collected the best and brightest
thoughts from the best and brightest thinkers and the
result is highlights from their PowerPoint decks and
insights from the audience who absorbed all that info,
chewed on it over lunch and discussed it for hours.

I learned a lot. Now you can too.

6.Where in the World is Jim Sterne?
Santa Barbara. With my entire kitchen in a dumpster in
the driveway, I am staying close to home to mind the crew.
And you thought measuring the success of your website was
filled with details!

This will be my longest stay at home in years. I expect
concerned calls from United Airlines.
