Who is responsible for the eMetrics Toronto content?

eMetrics Toronto is programmed by the a mix of global experts who make up the eMetrics Toronto Advisory Board and is led by Andrea Hadley, eMetrics Toronto Partner and Conference Director and is overseen by Jim Sterne, the founder of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and co-founder of the Web Analytics Association.

How much is it to attend and what’s included?

You may register for the entire conference, which will give you access to all sessions including keynotes and educational sponsored sessions, speaker presentations, exhibit hall, free WiFi access, refreshment breaks, networking lunches, and parties including the Web Analytics community meeting and opening reception.

When is the last day to register for the conference?

Registration will be open until the conference ends. We recommend you register early to secure your pass and hotel accommodations. The conference hotel fills up quickly.

What forms of payment are accepted and when is the payment due?

The following forms of payment are accepted: American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Payment is required to complete your registration. Remember, 13% HST is applicable on all registrations (HST# 838876274 RT0001).

May more than one person from my company attend?

Absolutely! Bring as many colleagues as you’d like and get a group discount rate for two or more registrants – get $100 off each additional registrant. If your group is larger than 10 please email or call for special group packages:

There are just a couple simple Group Registration Rate rules:

  • All registrants must be employed by the same company.
  • All members of the group must be registered at the same time. Discounts will not be applied retroactively.
  • You must pre-register to take advantage of these rates, which will not be offered on site.
  • Group Registration rates cannot be combined with any other offers.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel your attendance by notifying our registration department via email or by calling 1 (877) 883-7345 by March 25th, 2011. Your registration will be refunded less a $150 processing fee. Cancellations after March 25th, 2011 are non-refundable. You may transfer your registration to another person from your company or organization at any time by notifying registration at . Resale of eMetrics registrations is not permitted.

How do I book a room?

During the online registration process, you will have the opportunity to secure your accommodations at a special negotiated rate of $189/night plus tax (includes Internet access). You may also book your room by calling 1 (877) 883-7345. To get the special eMetrics rate, you must book your accommodations during registration or by calling the number above; the Sheraton Centre Toronto will not book eMetrics Toronto guests at the special rate directly.

What is the relationships between the WAA and the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit?

eMetrics is the Official Summit of the Web Analytics Association (WAA). As such WAA members receive added benefits:

  • Volunteers are given special speaker consideration

What is the relationship between the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and Search Marketing Expo – SMX Toronto?

eMetrics is co-located with the Search Marketing Expo - SMX Toronto. Rising Media’s Canadian operations group is eMetrics Canada. eMetrics Canada produces both conferences. The two events occur at the same hotel during the same dates and share the exhibit hall and networking sessions. However, they are separate conferences offering unique content.

What is the difference between the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and SMX Toronto?

The eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit focuses on the overall web marketing and communications optimization process. Focus includes web analytics, usability, audience measurement, behavioural targeting, voice of customer and survey tools and techniques. Emphasis is put upon the conversion optimization process of digital properties and marketing efforts.

SMX Toronto focuses on the latest strategies and tactics associated with search marketing (both SEO and Paid Search), search analytics, social, mobile media marketing, local and location-based marketing.

What are the terms and conditions?

eMetrics is open to business professionals 18 years and over only. Management may request a business card and photo ID prior to admission.

Rising Media reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to this program. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to retain speakers and their presentation topics. However, unforeseen circumstances may result in the substitution of a presentation topic or speaker.

Rising Media reserves the right to use photographs of any eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit attendee in promotional materials.

Rising Media assumes no liability for the acts of its suppliers nor for the safety of any eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit participant while traveling to or from this event. The total liability during the hours of the meeting will be limited to a refund of the delegate fee.

Can I record what is presented at eMetrics Toronto?

Sessions may be audio recorded or videoed with special permission from Rising Media, for personal use. Recordings may not be placed online or transmitted to others. Short audio and video clips may be used for blogging and press coverage of session. As a general guide, non-contiguous clips of one minute or less should be used. Contact Us if you need guidance about longer clips.
